  • They will also be able to react to certain situations by talking about their basic emotions.
  • Within the context of an immediate environment like school, workplace and eating out at a restaurant, learners will be able to construct simple sentences to express wants and needs by using the patterns:
    • Gusto/Kailangan (Want/Need) + Pronoun + Noun
    • Gusto/Kailangan (Want/Need) + Pronoun + Infinitive
    • May, Meron/Wala (There is/There’s none) + Pronoun + Noun
  • With the use of conjunctions, learners will be able to sound naturally by combining two or more basic sentences in one stream of expression.
  • They will learn how to ask about the location of people and things by using nasaan.
  • Basic usage of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd group of pronouns along with common daily routine verbs (conjugated in the present) will also be covered in this module:
    • Group 1: ako, ikaw/ka, sya (siya)
    • Group 2: ko, mo, nya (niya)
    • Group 3: akin, iyo, kanya (kaniya)
