Cancellation, Late Arrival and No-show Policy

At Tagalog International, we strive to create an accommodating learning environment for both our teachers and students. This Cancellation, Late Arrival and No-show Policy is enforced to maintain service fairness and respect for everyone’s time.

A. Cancellation of Classes and Late Arrivals by the Teacher

The teacher may cancel classes by giving a 6-hour prior notice to the student. In such a case, the teacher will request to reschedule the lesson with the student. If the teacher cancels a lesson less than 6 hours, the student could either accept to have a substitute teacher or request a refund for that class.

In the case of late arrival by the teacher, the student shall be compensated by a class extension until the lost time is accounted for. This time shall be added to the class in question or carried over to the next class, as agreed by both parties.

B. Cancellation of Classes and Late Arrivals by the Student

The student may cancel a class by giving a 6-hour prior notice to the teacher. In such a case, the student will request to reschedule the lesson with the teacher. Cancellation notices that are less than 6 hours shall be charged at the full rate. Fees are calculated on a per-class basis as stipulated in the enrollment contract.

Late arrivals within 15 minutes will shorten the scheduled class and will not be made up by extending into the next scheduled class.

Late arrivals of more than 15 minutes will result in a no-show. All no-shows shall be charged at the full rate.

Cancellation penalties are waived in the event of a medical emergency, a death in the family or a natural disaster. If a cancellation is due to circumstances beyond any of our control, such as a power outage, an internet connection failure, or an unfortunate incident, the teacher or the student may reschedule the class, as agreed by both parties.
